Ceramicist Assistant Job Description
Position Summary: Assistant will be involved in helping with:
· assembly and finishing of the work
· prepping and packing of work to be shipped/delivered
· preparing work to be sold
· cleaning, organizing and maintaining of studio space
· simple mold making and casting
· production of work
· photographing of work for web or social media purposes (a plus)
This is a part-time position. The assistant will be working directly with the artist. This is a hands-on assistant position and the candidate should be prepared to be in an art studio/home setting.
The ability to follow direction and attention to detail is a must. Responsibilities may change daily so flexibility is important. Willing to train.
Core Competencies: Applicants should have experience in ceramics. Photography background a plus.
Work Schedule: Part-time. Flexible. Hours/week 4-8 hours to start with potential for more hours. Work day is either Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday (open to discussion). Work through December with potential work for next year.
Pay: starting pay $12/hr. depending on experience
