Artifact Memory Project

2026 — Ongoing

Artifact #025

How do we activate memory?

The working title is the Artifact Memory Project. My intention is to activate memory through clay and story.  Each participant will make handheld clay impressions or sculptures.  They will become part of the Artifact Memory Project Library.  Participants will also be asked to briefly write about their experience/connection to place.

These are tangible artifacts of memory.  The act of making a physical artifact generationally.  My hope is to use this as an educational tool to shine a light on different concentration camps, detention centers and assembly centers during WWII and places that hold stories for participants.
